Foods that you have to try in Melbourne (Part 1)
Hola, in the middle of my holiday I'm sparing my time to write this post as my promise.
I know it's already winter here, makes you wanna eat more.. Okay then let's get started.
Warning, the picture of the food can be tantalizing.. So don't lick your gadget or eat them maybe.. Haha *joking*
Dae Jang Geum (korean bbq)
It's located in 235 lt. Brouke st, chinatown.
It's just near the front door of the chinatown from swanston st. It's popular for the bbq and also try the jap jae it's nice.
Yuriza japanese restaurant
It's also located in chinatown, 172 lt brouke st
It's famous for it's cheat lunch sashimi boat
Fish bar
It's located in 25 new quay prom, dockland. Just take tram no. 86 from brouke st and hop off 1 stop before harbour town.
If you're about to look the harbour or just wanna go shopping in harbour town and don't know where to eat, this is probably the most compatible food witth the scenery..
The Shicuan House
This one also in the chinatown but you have to go in to one of the arcade. 22-26 corrs lane
It's quite good if you like spicy food, and just letting you know that if you pick the spicy one it is really DAMN Spicy.. So if you don't really into the spicy food don't pick the spicy one or you can ended up having a stomach ache like me. Btw, that's my friend Apri ( left) and Elvin (right).
The Golden Age
It's for the cheapest and delicious chicken parmagiana (chicken parma) I ever had. It's only $12 if I'm not mistaken and it's served with a beverage (beer or soda). It's located in 277-287 king st, cbd
You only need to take tram from brouke st with 96 or 86 and stop at william st. Go ahead toward hudson coffee and go ahead toward subway until you find hotel sophia.
Oriental spoon
They have 2 resto one in 254 la trobe st, cbd and one in 291 elizabeth st, cbd
I recommend you to go to the la trobe one, it can be a lil bit pricey but it's okay to have a good food.
I love the cheesy chicken and also the bulgogi.. :)
This one is the bulgogi with rice taken from the other resto of oriental spoon.. It had a scoop like plate.. It's cheaper but it. Doesn't offer many menus.
Move'n'pick
If you want some desserts especially ice cream go for this. It's everywhere, you can find it in Qv or Melbourne central.
Sophia Pizza House
This one is for pasta and pizza lovers.. It's located in 857 burke rd, camberwell. Just take train to glen waverly, alamein or lilydale and stop at camberwell, from the station just walk and you can find it.
Ayam Penyet Ria (Indonesian food)
If you're Indonesian and miss indonesian food, just go here.. Haha it's nice and taste really similar to indonesian" restaurant. Haha just try the chicken and also the "sayur asem"
Koko black
This one also popular and you can find it almost everywhere.. Just search and find the nearest kokoblack. It's all about dark chocolate, if you don't really like dark chocolate, don't ever try it !! Trust me you won't like it..
Nando's
Who the hell didn't know nandos ? It's everywhere almost the same like subway, kfc and Maccas (Mac'd). But if you're new to Australia, you Must try this. I find that the BBQ chicken is the nicest one.
Sorry guys, I break your excitement toward the food, it's already midnight and I'm hungry looking at the picture, so I'm gonna stop here and I promise will post the rest (it's still a lot) tomorrow. So I'm making part by part. Make sure to read and you can freely ask about the food or how to get there in the comment and I will definetly answer it.. :) thanks.. See ya in the next post :D
